LUPO Wolf Sanctuary Rules

To ensure the safety and well-being of all our visitors as well as the protection of our natural environment, we have established the following rules for the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site. Please read them carefully and follow them during your stay.

1. No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site, including camping areas, trails, and common spaces. A designated smoking area is available between the ticket office and the parking lot for those wishing to smoke.

2. Accommodation Cleanliness

Accommodations must be returned in the same condition as upon arrival. A $250 deposit will be collected at the time of rental to cover any damages or if the accommodation is left unclean. If no damage is found and the accommodation is returned clean, the deposit will be fully refunded.

Reminder – Leaving Your Mini-Pod

Important: Any breakage, intentional marks, or failure to maintain cleanliness will be charged and deducted from your $250 deposit.

• Remove your shoes or boots and place them on the designated tray at the entrance.
• Walk inside the mini-pod only with socks or slippers.

Cleaning and Tidying:

• Sweep the floor to leave the mini-pod clean.
• Empty trash and recycling bins into the containers near reception.
• Empty and clean the fridge.
• Check that dishes and accessories are in good condition.
• Wipe dishes with a paper towel.
• Place dirty dishes in the provided bin and then put the bin on the counter.
• Empty grey water into the chemical toilet.
• Clean the microwave.
• Clean windows if necessary.
• Clean the coffee maker and stove.
• Check and clean the four chairs.
• Clean and store the cart.
• Clean the BBQ.
• Replace and check the condition of accessories and decorations.
• Ensure photos are intact and correctly positioned.

Important Instructions:

• The mini-pod is not equipped with an exhaust hood.
  • No frying is allowed indoors.
  • All cooking must be done on the outdoor BBQ.
• Lighting candles inside the mini-pod is prohibited.
• Outdoor fires are allowed only in the amphitheater.
  • Newspaper must be disposed of in the black bin with the red lid.

Security Deposit:

Please leave the accommodation in the condition in which it was provided (and considerate of the next guests). The $250 deposit may not be returned if excessive damage or uncleanliness is observed during check-out.

• Coffee maker: $90
• Cooking stove: $300
• Microwave: $300
• AC/heating controller: $75
• Frying or persistent odors: $150
• Toilet: $25
• Accommodation left unsanitary or trash not emptied: $75

Departure Instructions:

• Vacate the accommodation before 10:00 AM.
• Place all items back in their proper locations.
• Leave the area clean.
• Lock the door before leaving.
• Empty and clean the fridge.
• Sweep or vacuum the mini-pod.
• Empty trash and recycling in the designated bins near reception. (Remember to return can deposits.)
• Place dirty dishes in the provided plastic bin and put it on the kitchen counter.
• Clean the coffee maker and cooking stove.
• Replace the 4 chairs.
• Leave the cart on your private lot and cover it.
• Clean the BBQ.
• Close the propane tank and secure the hose.
• Return brooms to their place.
• Clean the toilet.
• Do not touch accessories and decorations (they are available for purchase in the shop).

NOTE:

Bedding, including comforter and bedspread for the double bed and sofa bed, is not provided.

You may rent it in advance when booking or call to reserve it before your stay.

3. No Pets Allowed

Pets are not allowed in accommodations or anywhere on the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site. This measure ensures the safety of both visitors and sanctuary animals.

4. No Feeding Wolves or Throwing Objects into the Enclosure

Feeding wolves or throwing objects into the enclosure is strictly prohibited. This rule protects the wolves' health and ensures their natural behavior.

5. Curfew at 10:00 PM

A curfew is in effect from 10:00 PM. We ask all visitors to respect the curfew to ensure the tranquility of the wolves and other guests. No loud noises or music are allowed after curfew.

6. No Disruptive Activities

Ball games, fireworks, or any other activity likely to disturb the wolves and other visitors are prohibited on the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site.

7. Food Management

Never leave food outside, not even on the platform, as raccoons or other animals may be nearby. Tents must remain closed to prevent animals such as squirrels or raccoons from entering.

8. Check-In and Check-Out – Sleeping with the Wolves in Mini-Pods

When you have booked one of our accommodations, you may check in at reception from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please note that sanctuary access is not available in the evening, and we want to ensure you are comfortably settled before this time.

Accommodations must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure. Please check out at reception. You may, however, enjoy the sanctuary grounds for the rest of the day until 5:00 PM.

9. Safety and Guidelines

• Some areas have steep terrain, ponds, and streams. Supervise children carefully.
• Tenants requiring specific medication must bring sufficient doses, as the Sanctuary cannot provide medication if needed.
• Mini-Pods are designed to accommodate 1 to 4 people.
• Bringing firewood is prohibited to prevent tree diseases (e.g., Emerald Ash Borer, Asian Longhorn Beetle). Please use the provided wood.
• ID will be required at check-in to validate your reservation, along with your invoice/gift certificate or package.
• Tenants must respect the number of people indicated during booking. Any additional person not registered must leave or pay additional fees.
• No outside visitors are allowed on site.
• Smoking in accommodations is strictly prohibited.
• Pets are not allowed in accommodations or on site.
• Fires are prohibited during heat and drought periods.
• Glass bottles are prohibited on site.
• A $75 surcharge applies if the accommodation is left in poor condition. Premises must be returned clean as upon arrival.
• Clean floors and counters before leaving.
• Clean beds with the provided product.
• Any damage to equipment or facilities will be charged to the tenant.
• You are responsible for personal belongings. LUPO Wolf Sanctuary is not responsible for theft or damage.
• Access to accommodations other than your own is strictly prohibited without prior authorization.

10. Cancellation and Change Policy

You may cancel or modify your reservation up to 30 days before your stay. In case of cancellation, 25% of the reservation amount before taxes will be retained.

Within 30 days of the scheduled date, no cancellation or date changes will be accepted, and no refunds will be issued.

11. Flex Ticket Policy – Cancellation and Changes

Our Flex tickets allow you to book your visit with peace of mind. A date must be selected at purchase, but it can be modified (non-refundable) up to 7 days before the scheduled visit, subject to availability.

Within 7 days of the scheduled date, no date changes or refunds will be allowed.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Non-compliance with these rules may result in penalties, including partial or full retention of the security deposit.
