The “Discover the Wolves and the Appalachians” experience
This day trip, offered in collaboration with the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary and the Maple Bistreau, provides a guided discovery of the Appalachians, local wildlife, heritage, and Quebec flavors.

Excursion overview

The experience begins with an exploration of the Appalachian Mountains, a remarkable range known for its vast landscapes and rich history shaped by trappers, hunters, and the timber industry.
2. Meet the wolves – LUPO Sanctuary
A first stop at the LUPO Sanctuary offers insight into the fascinating world of wolves and the conservation work led by Luigi and his team.
On site: trails, breathtaking views of Sugar Loaf Mountain, and the chance to hear wolves howling in their natural environment.
3. Scenic regional drive
The tour continues along rural roads through the Appalachian Park, featuring rivers, natural landscapes, and points of interest, including a charming historic covered bridge.
4. Gourmet discovery – Maple Bistreau
In the heart of a maple grove, discover how maple syrup is produced and enjoy a tasting of traditional products, including classic maple taffy.
5. Outdoor break and relaxed atmosphere
A nature stop allows for a moment of relaxation, with the option to prepare a simple BBQ meal in an authentic outdoor setting.
6. Overnight option – Sleep with the wolves
Extend the experience with an overnight stay in a mini-pod or glamping setup, offering a unique immersion close to the wolves.
