Open year-round, the LUPO Sanctuary offers a wide range of educational activities that promote the Sustainable Development Goals. As the first multifunctional center dedicated to wolf education and observation in Québec and North America, it stands out as a valuable resource for schools.
Equipped with an outdoor amphitheater space with picnic tables, the sanctuary is perfectly suited to host presentations for elementary and high school students on topics such as wolves, forest conservation, and many others. This immersive educational experience has already welcomed numerous students and schools during 2024-2025 school year.
We are offering this experience to all school groups. We offer a fun and educational activity that allows students to discover wolves in their natural habitat while raising awareness about wildlife conservation and the respectful use of natural spaces.
The LUPO Wolf Sanctuary offers an immersive school outing that includes wildlife observation as well as a tour of our education center. Students will enjoy a guided visit of the wolves, accompanied by a customized presentation led by our experts.
The activities include outdoor wildlife observation along forest trails with designated observation points along with a wildlife rallye and play areas. Trails may be used for walking or snowshoeing, depending on the group’s preference.
Students can also explore our outdoor education center.
Each teacher and student will receive a written 10-question quiz related to our education center. Students will walk through the center to discover the answers, and teachers will be able to correct the quizzes once back at school.
Students may then enjoy their lunch on-site in our outdoor amphitheater.
Afterward, they will take part in a guided visit of our wolves in a natural environment, along with a customized presentation by our experts—completing a rich and meaningful educational experience.
