Details and regulations

Wolves are separated from guests at all times. While you can observe them, no contact is permitted.

What to bring

  • Bedding (up to 2 double beds: 1 bed and 1 sofa bed) or sleeping bags, along with pillows and blankets (rental available on site)
  • Flashlight
  • Insect repellent
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, washcloth
  • Food, water, drinks, and snacks
  • Camera
  • The LUPO shop closes at 5:00 PM. You will find juices, drinks, snacks, coffee, and other items.

Mini Pod Accommodation Terms

LUPO Wolf Sanctuary Rules - Mini-Pods

In order to ensure the safety and well-being of all our visitors, as well as the protection of our natural environment, we have established the following rules for the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site. Please read them carefully and respect them during your stay.

1. No Smoking or Vaping

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout the entire LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site, including camping areas, trails, and common spaces. A designated smoking area is located between the ticket office and the parking lot for those who wish to smoke.

2. Moderate Consumption Only – Be Responsible

The consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted, but please remain attentive and responsible. Any excessive alcohol consumption compromising the safety or tranquility of our visitors, as well as the well-being of wildlife, will result in the immediate expulsion of your group and a ban from returning. If necessary, we will contact the police to file a complaint.

3. Be Careful of Children

Access to the reception area is forbidden by car or truck.

4. LUPO in Light

The starting point is at the Wolf Trail. Follow the lights along the 1 km path, and at the end of the illuminated trail, return to your accommodation.

The LUPO in Light trail is an immersive experience in a natural environment. Despite all efforts to ensure the proper functioning of the lighting installations, occasional interruptions or technical issues may occur.

By participating in this activity, visitors acknowledge that the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary cannot be held responsible for any malfunctions, temporary interruptions, or situations beyond its control.

5. Cleanliness of Accommodations

Accommodations must be returned in the same condition as upon arrival. A $250 deposit will be collected at the time of rental to cover any potential damage or if the accommodation is left dirty. If no damage is found and the accommodation is returned clean, the deposit will be fully refunded.

Reminder – Mini-Pod Departure

Important: Any breakage, intentional marks, or failure to maintain cleanliness will be billed and deducted from your $250 deposit.

  • Remove your shoes or boots and place them on the tray provided at the entrance.
  • Walk inside the mini-pod only in socks or slippers.

Cleaning and Tidying:

  • Sweep and vacuum the floor to leave the mini-pod clean.
  • Empty garbage and recycling into the bins near reception.
  • Empty and clean the refrigerator.
  • Check that dishes and accessories are in good condition.
  • Wipe dishes with paper towels.
  • Place dirty dishes in the bin provided, then place the bin on the counter.
  • Empty gray water into the chemical toilet and clean the bucket with Hertel.
  • Clean the sink.
  • Clean the microwave.
  • Clean the windows if necessary.
  • Clean the coffee maker and the stove.
  • Check and clean the four chairs.
  • Clean and store the cart.
  • Clean the BBQ.
  • Put accessories and decorations back in place and check their condition.
  • Check that photos are intact and properly positioned.
  • Put the furniture back the same way as it was at your arrival.

Important Instructions:

  • The mini-pod is not equipped with a range hood.
  • No frying or fondue cooking is permitted inside.
  • Cooking must be done only on the outdoor BBQ.
  • It is forbidden to light candles inside the mini-pod.
  • Outdoor fires are allowed only in the amphitheater.
  • Newspaper must be thrown in the black bin with the red lid.
  • Heating board should be left on to avoid the windows getting fogged up.

Security Deposit

Please leave the accommodation in the condition in which it was entrusted to you. The $250 deposit may not be refunded in the event of damage or excessive uncleanliness noted during inspection.

  • Lost keys: $25
  • Kitchen kit in poor condition: $50
  • Dishes: $5 per item
  • Chair: $75 each
  • Cart / Sled: $150
  • Damaged refrigerator: $350
  • Coffee maker: $90
  • Cooking stove: $300
  • Microwave: $300
  • Air conditioning / heating remote control: $75
  • Frying or persistent cooking odors: $250
  • Toilet not cleaned: $25
  • Sink not cleaned: $25
  • Stove and counter not cleaned: $50
  • Accommodation left unsanitary or garbage / recycling not emptied: $75
  • Furniture not returned to its original location: $50

Note: Bedding, including the comforter and bedspread for the double bed and sofa bed, is not provided. You may rent it in advance when making your reservation or call to reserve before your stay.

6. Departure Instructions

  • Vacate the accommodation by 10:00 a.m.
  • Put all objects back in their proper places.
  • Leave the premises clean.
  • Lock the door before leaving.
  • Empty and clean the refrigerator.
  • Sweep and/or vacuum the mini-pod.
  • Empty garbage and recycling into the bins provided near reception.
  • Do not forget to return refundable cans.
  • Place dirty dishes in the plastic bin provided, then place it on the kitchen counter.
  • Clean the coffee maker and the cooking stove.
  • Clean the sink.
  • Put the 4 chairs back.
  • Leave the cart on your private site and put the cover back on.
  • Clean the BBQ.
  • Close the BBQ propane tank and put the hose back in place.
  • Put the brooms back in their place.
  • Clean the toilet.
  • Do not touch accessories and decorations (they are available for purchase in the shop).
  • Put the furniture back the same way as it was at your arrival.

7. No Pets Allowed

Pets are prohibited in the accommodations and throughout the entire LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site. This measure is in place to ensure the safety of visitors and the sanctuary animals.

8. Do Not Feed the Wolves or Throw Objects into the Enclosure

It is strictly forbidden to feed the wolves or throw objects into the enclosure. This rule is in place to protect the wolves’ health and ensure their natural behavior.

9. How to Attract the Wolves and Enjoy Magical Moments

  • Stay calm at all times.
  • Do not knock on the glass or tables.
  • Do not shout or scream.
  • Keep a relaxed and quiet attitude so as not to scare them.

10. Curfew at 10:00 p.m.

A curfew is in effect starting at 10:00 p.m. We ask all visitors to respect this curfew to ensure the tranquility of the wolves and other visitors. No loud noise or music will be tolerated after curfew.

11. No Disruptive Activities

Ball games, fireworks, or any other activity likely to disturb the tranquility of the wolves and other visitors are prohibited on the LUPO Wolf Sanctuary site.

12. Food Management

Never leave food outside the mini-pod, as raccoons or other animals may be roaming.

13. Visitors

Any unregistered person will be refused; no outside visitors are permitted.

14. Arrival and Departure Times

When you have reserved one of our mini-pods, you may present yourself at reception as of 11:00 a.m. Some accommodations may not be available until later, so please contact us before your arrival to be informed of the availability time.

Accommodations must be vacated no later than 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

Please go to reception to check out and ensure that cleaning and the tasks listed in section #3 have been completed.

15. Guidelines and Safety

Some grounds include steep areas, ponds, and streams. Keep a vigilant eye on your children. For guests requiring specific medication, ensure you have the necessary doses, as the Sanctuary cannot provide them if needed.

16. Cancellation and Date Change Policy

You may cancel or modify your reservation up to 30 days before your stay date. In the event of cancellation, fees equal to 25% of the reservation amount before taxes will be retained.

Less than 30 days before the scheduled date, no cancellation or date change will be accepted and no refund will be issued.

17. Cancellation and Date Change Policy – Flex Option

Our Flex tickets allow you to book your visit with peace of mind. A date must be selected at purchase, but it remains changeable (non-refundable) up to 7 days before the scheduled stay date, subject to availability.

Less than 7 days before the scheduled date, no date change will be accepted and no refund will be issued.
