Birth of Wolf Pups
To our community, our visitors, and all nature and wildlife enthusiasts,
LUPO Wolf Sanctuary is currently entering an exceptional and important period for our pack.
Our wolf, Résilience-Lakota, is showing advanced signs of pregnancy and may give birth to wolf pups in the coming weeks.
In order to provide her with a calm, secure, and natural environment, which is essential for a successful birth and the healthy development of the pups, we have made the decision to postpone our summer opening from May 15 to June 5.
A Historic Moment for Quebec
If this birth is confirmed, it could represent an event of remarkable significance.
It may be the first wolf pup birth in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region in over 100 years.
For generations, wolves had disappeared from this territory. Today, through the educational, conservation, and awareness efforts of LUPO Wolf Sanctuary, a new chapter may be unfolding.
This moment represents far more than a birth.
It is a symbol of hope, a return of life, a renewed connection with the wild, and the continuation of the pack.
An Essential but Challenging Decision
The well-being of the wolves remains, and will always remain, our highest priority.
This postponement, however, comes with significant challenges.
It results in a loss of important revenue, while operational costs continue daily.
Even during this temporary closure, the wolves must be fed every day, care and monitoring continue around the clock, habitats must be maintained, and our team remains fully mobilized to ensure the animals’ safety and well-being.
How You Can Support LUPO
During this critical time, your support makes a meaningful difference.
Your contribution helps feed the pack, provide veterinary care, protect the future pups, and maintain sanctuary operations during this period.
Sponsoring a wolf directly supports its nutrition, care, and habitat maintenance. An adoption certificate is provided to recognize your support.
Our immersive stays remain available, with a special offer currently in place.
These experiences offer a unique connection with nature while directly supporting sanctuary operations, wolf care, and the protection of the future pups.
Offering a LUPO experience is another meaningful way to support the sanctuary during this important period.
A Story Greater Than Ourselves
Since its beginning, LUPO Wolf Sanctuary has been driven by a clear mission to educate, raise awareness, and protect.
Today, we are entrusted with protecting something deeply valuable, a possible new generation of wolves.
We sincerely thank everyone who supports us, whether through donations, bookings, symbolic adoptions, or by sharing our mission.
Your support allows this pack, and this dream, to continue.
